Our Story
They’re four fingers of country, a frosty mug of Americana, and a quick shot of rock ’n’ roll. Together they’re a full deck.
Sandra Macat & the Wild Cards have years of experience playing Los Angeles clubs, and the latest and most refined lineup is hitting the LA music scene at full stride. Sandra Macat continues to lead the band with her gorgeous, honeyed vocals that ebb and flow beautifully with the lyrics of songwriter and guitarist, Doug Reichert. Her tones are passionate, lofty, and carry just the right amount of twang. It’s a sublime voice—seasoned with just the right amount of Ronstadt and Carlile—that takes Reichert’s melodies to a most alluring place.
Sandra brings the crowd right along for the ride.
And the Wild Cards provide the perfect vehicle for this epic road trip. Toby Keil’s stand-up bass, affectionately nicknamed Betty, commands quite a presence in the rhythm section, and it is perfectly complemented by the smooth and confident grooves from drummer Kevin Browne. The newest Wild Card is Scotty Persico, and he has been well worth the wait. His hook-laden licks and riffs add perfect flavoring to Macat and Reichert’s repertoire of original songs. And they blend perfectly with the fretwork of founding member Doug Reichert.
They’ve opened for Pure Prairie League and Ambrosia, and The Guess Who, and been residents at numerous Los Angeles clubs. And with Macat now in front of her most talented lineup of musicians, Sandra Macat & the Wild Cards are now at their shimmering best.
